Walk-and-Talk Therapy

Movement, Nature, and Mindful Healing

If you are currently experiencing...

✧ Zoom Fatigue & Screen Disconnect: Feeling drained by staring at screens all day, making online sessions feel like just another meeting

✧ Feeling "Stuck" or Intimidated: Experiencing anxiety or stiffness in and outside of session

✧Trapped Nervous System Energy: Carrying physical restlessness, hypervigilance, or bodily tension that feels hard to shake off while sitting still

✧ Over Analyzing & Intrusive Thoughts: Getting caught in your head during traditional talk therapy without feeling a shift in your physical state.

Then imagine moving toward...

✧Open Air Refreshment: Step away from screens and combine mental health care with fresh air, natural sunlight, and somatic grounding

✧ Side-by-Side Ease: Processing difficult thoughts naturally while walking shoulder to shoulder in a comfortable, low pressure environment

✧ Rhythmic Somatic Discharge: Using gentle, continuous movement to help your body naturally release stress and process lingering emotions

✧ Embodied Presence: Using sensory elements in nature (the breeze, trees, path ahead, animals, flowers) to stay anchored in the present moment while doing deep work

Walk-and-Talk Therapy California | Sacramento & Orange County

What Walk-and-Talk Sessions Look Like in Practice

✧ Pacing Set by You: We walk at a tempo that feels comfortable for your body. If you need to slow down, speed up, pause on a bench, or rest, we follow your lead.

✧ Natural Bilateral Stimulation (BLS): The rhythmic left right pattern of walking naturally acts as bilateral stimulation, making it a seamless environment for Somatic, EMDR and/or ERP (Exposure & Response Prevention) work

✧ Grounding & Environmental Resourcing: We utilize sensory touchpoints in nature such as feeling the ground beneath your feet or noticing outdoor sounds to help regulate your nervous system when discussing challenging topics

✧ Privacy & Boundaries: We establish clear guidelines upfront regarding confidentiality, weather contingencies, and what to do if we cross paths with others on public trails
